Rohit and Ronit enter semifinals

LUDHIANA: Third seed Rohit Bisht of Delhi overcame N. Sai Karthik of Andhra Pradesh 5-7, 6-3, 6-2 in the boys’ quarterfinals of the sub-junior National tennis championship at the Harvest Tennis Academy, Jassowal, here on Wednesday.

His younger brother, the top-seeded Ronit Bisht, also cruised into the semifinals.

The results (quarterfinals):

Under-16 boys: Ronit Bisht bt Vishwesh Sinha 6-3, 6-3.

Vinod Gowda bt Pradeep Reddy 6-3, 6-1.

Rohit Bisht bt N. Sai Karthik 5-7, 6-3, 6-2.

Digvijay Singh bt Ajay Yadav 6-2, 6-3.

Under-16 girls: Ankita Raina bt Iktesh Chahal 6-1, 6-1.

Prarthana Thombare bt Vaidehi Bhagwat 6-2, 6-1.

Smriti Joon bt Iska Teertha 6-1, 6-3.

Shweta Chandra Rana bt Parminder Kaur 6-2, 6-0.
