VIZIANAGARAM: With a view to strengthening the party, Praja Rajyam Party leaders will shortly organise ‘chaitanya yatras’ in the nine Assembly constituencies of the district, according to party leaders -- Mamidi Appala Naidu, Gurana Ayyalu, Vakada Nageswara Rao, C.S. Naidu, Kondapalli Kondala Rao, Appikonda Sriramulu Naidu and others. Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, the leaders said there was no truth in the campaign of Congress and TDP leaders that the PRP leaders were divided. Mr. Mamidi Appala Naidu, vice-president of Vizianagaram MPP, who resigned from the TDP and joined the PRP, said the leaders would work with commitment to strengthen the party and it was decided to conduct yatras for one month in all the constituencies to know the problems of people. Dig at CongressMr. Ayyalu, former general secretary of district Youth Congress, asked whether the Congress suddenly woke up after PRP president Chiranjeevi toured Sircilla and Coastal Corridor areas? He also criticised Congress leaders for threatening Indiramma beneficiaries of losing the benefits if they supported other parties. C.S Naidu, former IG of Police, stressed the need for enlightening people on various issues and strengthening the party. Mr. Kondala Rao, president of Gantyada MPP, who quit the TDP recently, said that youth were rallying behind the PRP thus sending shock waves to all other political parties.
