Diamond ‘hastams’ donated

TIRUMALA: In a munificent donation the Apollo Hospitals chairman C. Pratap reddy on Thursday donated a pair of diamond studded golden ‘Kati’ and ‘Varada hastams’ to Lord Venkateswara. The ornaments will be adorned to the presiding deity on Friday after the weekly celestial bath (Abhishekam). The total worth of the donation is put over Rs.80 lakh. The Tirumala based TTD Special Officer A.V.Dharma Reddy accepted the donation on behalf of the temple management this evening during the evening VIP break darshan.
