Large scale lay-offs in IT, ITES firms
The IT party is over.
The situation appears grim with forebodings towards the worse, with employees being turned out in hordes from the portals of the companies they helped flourish till yesterday.
IT giants such as Satyam resorting to large scale lay-offs are an indication of the gravity of the recession ripping the world apart.
Each morning comes with trepidation for the young people in the IT and ITES industries who till recently carried home bulging pay packets along with dreams for bright careers.
This once again proves that corporates can not guarantee security to their own employees, not to talk about their much-hyped Social Responsibility.
