Raghavendra shines

KOCHI: Spinner N. Raghavendra’s four-wicket haul and Raghunath’s unbeaten 68 helped Parry Sports and Recreation Club, Chennai, defeat Thrissur’s Oktopals CC by two wickets in a Group ’B’ league match of the 58th Maruti Homes Pooja all-India cricket tournament at the Tripunithura Palace Oval on Thursday.

The scores: Oktopals CC, Thrissur 214 for eight in 45 overs (Manoj 54, Vishnu 32, N. Raghavendra four for 25) lost to Parry SRC, Chennai 216 for eight in 35 overs (Raghunath 68 n.o., Thiagarajan 41, Ranjith four for 38). — Principal Correspondent
