MDMK cadres observe fast

Showing solidarity: MDMK cadres observed on Friday in Krishnagiri a fast to condemn the inaction of the Centre and the State on the killing of Tamils in Sri Lanka.

KRISHNAGIRI: Members of Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam observed a fast to condemn the Union and State governments’ lethargic attitude on attacks on Tamils in Sri Lanka.

District Secretary of the party T.G. Madhaiyan lead the fast. About 130 workers, including 30 women, participated in the fast.

Party cadres from all over the district participated, Mr. Madhaiyan told The Hindu.

In Dharmapuri, MDMK cadres observed a fast at the Rajagopal Gaundar Park. U.S. Sampath presided over the fast.

About 100 workers, including 20 women, participated.
