Hunger strike against Lyngdoh proposals

NEW DELHI: All-India Students’ Association activists began a two-day mass hunger strike at Jantar Mantar here on Friday protesting against the Lyngdoh Committee recommendations and demanding immediate student union elections in all Central universities. Several students from Delhi University, Jawaharlal Nehru University, Jamia Millia Islamia, Allahabad University and Banaras Hindu University are participating in the hunger strike.
