“BJP will have tie-up with like minded parties”

Staff Reporter

Nagercoil: The Barathiya Janata Party would explore the ways and means to have a tie up with like-minded parties to face both the Parliamentary and Assembly elections, particularly with film actor Rajinikanth in Tamil Nadu, said L. Ganesan, party’s state unit president.

Speaking to presspersons, he said the meeting between BJP leader L.K. Advani and Rajinikanth was only a courtesy and the ball was in the court of Rajinikanth to issue directions to his fans to support BJP in the elections.

The State should come forward to provide training to the police personnel in handling the emergency situation. It was pathetic that the police personnel remained a mute spectator to the violence in the law college in Chennai.

During the period of Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi, the oppressed and suppressed people’s welfare was ensured and many welfare and development schemes were announced during the Independence Day celebrations.

But now the Congress party was indulged in satisfying the welfare and the interests of a particular community in order to garner their votes.

Hence it had been decided to conduct ‘awareness yatra’ to expose the “double face” of the Congress party.
