NEW DELHI: Senior IPS officer and ADG of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) Ranjit Sinha has been appointed Director General of the Railway Protection Force. The 1974 Bihar cadre police officer fills the vacancy caused by the retirement of M.K. Sinha. As per the notification, Mr. Sinha, who also had a stint with the CBI, would hold the post for a period of five years or till his superannuation on March 31, 2013 or till further orders, which ever is earlier.
