KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal (Prachanda) has said India wants to see peace process succeed in Nepal. He said his meeting with Manmohan Singh was positive. “I also requested for the release of our party members who were arrested in India during the conflict,” he said. Upon his return, he told reporters here that the BIMSTEC was a success. He said there were positive talks on water-resource pacts, poverty alleviation and climate change. “We have almost agreed to establish a Tourism Centre in Nepal.” Meanwhile, Gyanendra, the dethroned king, may join politics soon, say royalists. According to Kantipur, a national daily, on Friday, the former king keeps himself occupied with world politics these days. The paper quotes the former royal priest, Madhav Bhattarai, as saying: “We find the former king busy in studying and writing. He likes to read about world politics and surfs Internet to read news.” Though not official, some local reports claim that the former king is writing an autobiography.
