BHUBANESWAR: As several Sangh Parivar organisations are preparing to hold a rally here on Saturday to demand the arrest of the killers of Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader Swami Lakshmanananda, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar and several other CPI(M) leaders on Friday stressed the need for making people aware of evil designs of Sangh Parivar and the BJP. ConventionAddressing a convention against communalism and terrorism organised by the Orissa State CPI(M) Committee here, Mr. Sarkar said the Sangh Parivar and its political face, the BJP, were trying their best to communalise the situation to garner votes ahead of the general elections. Observing that the BJP was not talking of basic issues such as poverty, price rise, problems facing the farmers and working class, Mr. Sarkar alleged that the party had started dividing people on the basis of religion and caste. “They are now talking of conversion and terrorism to woo the voters,” he said.
