Barun Mukherjee elected

Special Correspondent

KOLKATA: The All India Forward Bloc (AIFB) leader, Barun Mukherjee, was elected unopposed to the Rajya Sabha from West Bengal on Friday.

The seat fell vacant following the resignation of the party’s general secretary, Debabrata Biswas, from the Upper House.

Mr. Biswas had resigned his seat in conformity with the principle of one man-one post, a senior West Bengal leader of the AIFB said.
