JAIPUR: Artistes from Rajasthan made colourful presentations at Lal Chowk theatre in Delhi’s Pragati Maidan on the opening day of the 28th India International Trade Fair, celebrated as “Rajasthan Day”. A large number of women’s groups have joined the pavilion to exhibit their talent to match this year’s theme of women’s empowerment. Pavilion Director Ravi Agrawal said the theme area would display the desert State’s infrastructure while the centre of the pavilion has an impressive tableau of the popular tourist destination Jaisalmer. The State’s pavilion presents a combination of modern trends in development and traditional arts, crafts and culture. Women’s self-help groups will make a live demonstration of craftwork, while models, charts and panels will display mineral wealth, commercial products and industries of the State. A business information centre has also been set up at the pavilion for the benefit of entrepreneurs and potential investors. Mr. Agrawal said it was being manned by representatives of the RFC and the Bureau of Industrial Promotion.
