IGNOU Foundation Day planned

NEW DELHI: On the occasion of its 23rd Foundation Day this coming Wednesday, Indira Gandhi National Open University will launch an appreciation programme on sustainability science and also organise lectures on “Sustainable Agriculture” and “Liberal Education”.

Prof. M. S. Swaminathan, Chair for Sustainable Development, will deliver a lecture on “Sustainable agriculture leading to an ever green revolution”, while Mr. Abid Hussain, eminent economist and former Ambassador to the US, will talk on “Liberal education, pluralism and diversity”. The celebrations will be telecast live on “Gyan Darshan” channel.
