Spirit of Unity Concerts concludes
VIZIANAGARAM: The three-day 76th national festival, Spirit of Unity Concerts for Universal Integration concluded with the Balaji Sangeet Kalyanotsav at Ayodhya Maidan here on Sunday. It was a notable feature of the Bharat Cultural Integration Committee and Madras Telugu Academy, the twin organisations that conducted the rituals on the last day of the festival.
The morning session began with Ippili Sankara Sarma, chief archaka of Arasavilli Sun Temple, performing Navaneeth Aarathi to Lord Balaji.
Shruthi Subramaniam sang devotional songs and A. Chaitra, Nithyasnthoshini and P. Nagasahiti to the music of Saluru Vasu Rao sang film songs from Annamayya, Sri Ramadas and Pandurangadu. Narayanam Nageswara Rao, one of the festival committee members gave mementoes to A. Chaitra and Shruthi Subramaniam. Ippili Sankara Sarma was handed over the Samaikya Bharath Swarna Puraskar of Rs. 1,011,16 donated by Sadguru Sri Krishnayaji of Garividi. K Prakash, joint coordinator of the festival committee proposed a vote of thanks.
