Central fund to develop tourist sites in Bihar

New Delhi: The government has sanctioned Rs 134.87 lakh for development of Lauriya Nandan Garh, Areraj and Rampurwa as tourist destinations in Bihar.

The central fund would be utilised to develop amenities for tourists. Archaeologically important, Lauriya Nandan Garh is about 25 km from Bettiah district. A Buddhist site, Garh has a lion pillar of Ashoka. The fund will also be utilised for construction of signboards, lighting, boundary fencing, parks and entrance gates. — PTI
