The city of London, centre of Britain’s business and economic world, again headed the table last year for the most drunken place in Britain, it was officially announced in London. The city, the square mile inside the original boundaries, peopled almost entirely by non-residential office workers had 397 convictions for drunkenness per 10,000 of the population. Liverpool, which came second, had 81.
