Staff Reporter
SANGAREDDY: G. Lingam (45), a farmer belonging to Chinnaguadavalli village in Siddipet mandal was killed on Tuesday by his neighbourers. According to Siddipet rural Circle Inspector Purushottam, Lingam’s wife Nilavva informed the police that Uppalaiah, a farmer and his two sons , waylaid Lingam who was on his way to the farm and killed him on the spot.
Child rescued
The police on Tuesday rescued Nandini (3) who was kidnapped by a labourer Sekhar working at Madhapur. He forged friendship with a couple, Anjaneyulu and Alivelu. In the guise of taking their daughter Nandini to a cinema, Shekar took her away on October 26 and since then both the child and he were found missing.
The complaint lodged by the parents did not yield any result until Monday evening. However, a tip from the locals helped the Madhapur police to trace the child at the newly constructed premises of the Collectorate. The local police had also lent a helping hand.
