Mahila Morcha seeks government’s ouster

Staff Reporter

MALAPPURAM: The Bharatiya Mahila Morcha has demanded that the Central government should sack the State government in view of the increasing revelation of terrorist links in the State.

“The State government is sponsoring terrorism by helping militants instead of trying to root out the danger,” said Mahila Morcha State president Sobha Surendran here on Tuesday.

Addressing newspersons, Ms. Surendran said that the State government had failed to identify terrorist recruiting centres in the State. “The government, which ought to ban organisations like the National Development Front (NDF) and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), has made the PDP a part of the current regime by appointing its leader in the Haj Committee,” she said.

Ms. Surendran inaugurated the Mahila Morcha district convention held here earlier. BJP district general secretary K. Ramachandran, Mahila Morcha State treasurer Kumari Sukumaran, and district president Dhanalakshmi Janardhanan spoke.
