Man found dead
A 33-year-old man was found dead with his throat slit in an open field behind a multiplex on East Coast Road on Wednesday.
Police identified the deceased as Govindaraj Babu, a resident of Mylapore. A cab driver by profession, Babu had frequent quarrels with his wife and her parents.
On Tuesday night he had quarrelled with his wife and left for his parent’s house in Kanathur on East Coast Road. Around midnight, after leaving his baggage in their house, Babu had gone out. On Wednesday morning, he was found dead with a deep cut on his throat and a stab wound to his chest, police added. Neelankarai police have registered a case of murder and are investigating.
