TAKING A LOOK: Forests Minister N. Selvaraj and Mayor Subramanian view the saplings planted in Kodungaiyur as part of the urban afforestation programme on Wednesday.

Chennai: Forest Minister N. Selvaraj and Mayor M. Subramanian visited various localities in north Chennai on Wednesday to monitor the growth of saplings recently planted as part of the urban afforestation programme.

They visited parts of Tondiarpet Corporation zone, including Union Carbide Colony, Venkateswara Nagar, Sriram Nagar, Narayanasamy Thottam and Manali Road.
