Sangma admitted to hospital

New Delhi: Senior NCP leader and former Lok Sabha Speaker P. A. Sangma was on Wednesday admitted to the Apollo hospital here following complaints of chest pain.

“He has been admitted on Wednesday afternoon with us and nothing can be stated till investigations are complete,” Dr Ravi Kasliwal, cardiologist, Apollo Hospital said.

Seventy-one-year old Purno Agitok Sangma was the co-founder of the Nationalist Congress Party. In January 2004, P. A. Sangma created a split in the NCP. - PTI
