VISAKHAPATNAM: Grama seva was organised by the staff and students of Sri Satya Sai Vidya Vihar as part of the 83rd birthday celebrations of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba being organised under the aegis of Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations, Visakhapatnam . The students and staff distributed food and clothes to about 1,400 villagers of Venkatapuram and Gollalapalem villages. Sri Sathya Sai City Seva Samithi distributed monthly rations (Amrutha Kalasams) to 30 poor families in Gollapalem villages. Each Amrutha Kalasam consists of 10 kgs of rice, and other essential provisions like Dal, tamarind, cooking oil, sugar, soaps and mirchi. The grama seva was coordinated by principal of the school A. Kausalya and vice-principal P. Purnaanand of Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar. The entire programme was coordinated under the guidance of Sri Sathya Sai City Samithi convener DSN Murthy and senior members of Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations .
