Held for making pirated DVDs of movies

CHENNAI: The Central Crime Branch police arrested a 32-year-old resident of Manadi on the charge of making pirated DVDs of Tamil, Telugu and Hindu movies. Goods worth more than Rs.24 lakh, including DVDs, computers, a DVD writer and a television set, were seized.

A release said K. Faisal Ameen, of Mootaikaran Street, Manadi, who was arrested, had made pirated DVDs of the latest movies and movies with pornographic content. A police team seized 4,650 DVDs.
