Thiruvananthapuram: A room used for storing evidentiary material, including mobile phones, computers and weapons used in gang-related killing cases, at the Judicial First Class Magistrate Court-II here was burgled in the early hours of Thursday. The police said intruders broke into the room by prying open the “flimsy” lock. The room contained material objects related to several important cases. The court staff were making a list of missing objects. Circle Inspector K. Mahesh Kumar said theft and not sabotage seemed to be the motive of the intruders. He said the police lifted some finger prints from the scene of crime. The Vanchiyoor police registered a case of burglary in connection with the incident.
