CPI (M) stages dharna
HYDERABAD: Party activists led by several top leaders of CPI (M) Ranga Reddy District Committee on Thursday laid siege to the Ranga Reddy District Collector’s office demanding immediate resolution of several outstanding land related issues. The protest was led by Rajya Sabha member of CPI (M) P. Madhu and several others.
The picketing in front of the District Collector’s office threatened to go out of control before police picked up the leaders even as hundreds of women workers protested for permanent house plots. Mr. Madhu criticised the government for not taking steps to distribute land .
