Arrested for ‘duping’ people

HYDERABAD: The police on Thursday arrested Habeeb Mohsin (28), on charge of duping gullible people of their money by assuring them to secure loans under various government schemes.

A resident of Phoolbagh, he used to hold meetings in surrounding localities publicising government schemes.

He would collect amounts from each person ranging between Rs. 1,000 to Rs. 5,000 by leading them to believe that he would get them financial assistance from the government, and disappear.
