Tiruchi airport terminal building expansion to be over next month

CHENNAI: The Rs.80-crore terminal building expansion work at Tiruchi will be completed by next month.

According to Airports Authority of India (AAI) sources, the work commenced about 30 months ago. At present the terminal building can handle 100 passengers on the arrival side and an equal number on the departure side. The integrated building has ground and first floor totally admeasuring nearly 12,000 square metres, says an officer. While the first floor will be for arrival, the ground floor will be for departure.
