PALAKKAD: A regional animal festival, Unarvu-2008, being organised by the Animal Husbandry Department from November 22 to 24, will be inaugurated by Minister for Food and Animal Husbandry C. Divakaran at M.E.S. Higher Secondary School, Olavakkode, here on Saturday. The three-day festival will have participation from the districts of Palakkad, Thrissur, Ernakulam and Malappuram. An exhibition of domestic animals and pets will be inaugurated by Minister for Electricity A.K. Balan on Saturday afternoon.
