DMDK functionary murdered

KRISHNAGIRI: Some unidentified persons murdered district deputy secretary of the Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK) in Hosur on Friday. The police said that Amman R.K. Balaji was killed at about 4.30 p.m. while he was at his real estate office at Panchayat Union Complex in Thali Road. Balaji’s assistant Praveen along with his brother’s son Kumar took him to Hosur Government General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The police said, real estate dealings may be the reason for his murder.
