Kozhikode: The All Kerala Retail Ration Dealer’s Association will observe November 24, the day the Assembly session resumes, as ‘Black Day’ in protest against the “neglect of the public distribution system by the State and Union governments.” Addressing a press conference here, Association State president K.V. Thomas, MLA, said the association represented over 10,000 retail ration dealers out of the total 14,000 in the State. He said the commission received by the ration dealers had not been revised for 20 years. The association said the government should take measures to reinstate the amount of food grains and other necessary goods that had been cut by the Union government.
