Choice, BVV advance
KOCHI: The Choice School (Tripunithura) and Bhavan’s Varuna Vidyalaya (Thrikakkara) entered the second round of the Refinian Cup inter-school cricket tournament at the Cochin Refineries School Ground, Ambalamugal, on Friday.
The scores: Choice School, Tripunithura 131 for seven in 20 overs (Harikrishnan 53) bt Al-Ameen, Edathala 86 in 17.3 overs (Jishnu three for 12).
Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Vaduthala 104 in 19 overs lost to Bhavan’s Varuna Vidyalaya, Thrikakkara 107 for six in 19.5 overs. — Principal Correspondent
MGU triumphs
MG University (Kottayam) won the title in the South West Zone inter-University women’s hockey tournament in Bansastali, near Jaipur. MGU finished first with seven points, followed by Devi Ahaliya (six) and Kerala (four).
