HYDERABAD: Goli Sushma, a Hyderabadi woman, was found dead in mysterious circumstances in the store-room of her house at Northridge city near Los Angeles in the United States. Sushma (24), a resident of Himayathnagar, married Goli Suresh Babu in April 2006 and was staying in the U.S. for the past one year. The news of Sushma’s death reached her parents here on Friday from Harika, a close relative staying there. Mr. Babu, a software engineer, reportedly rang up Ms. Harika and asked her to visit his house saying he had some problem. On reaching there, Ms. Harika learnt that Sushma had been found dead in the store-room. By that time, the body had been shifted to hospital for autopsy, Sushma’s father V. Kanakarajam told reporters here. He said that his son-in-law did not respond despite repeated attempts to call him and that gave rise to suspicion about foul play behind Sushma’s death. The victim’s mother, Bhagya, said that her daughter used to call often. However, there had been no calls in the past three days. Originally from Vachunuru village of Mankondur mandal in Karimnagar district, Mr. Kanakarajam, a retired APTransco engineer, had settled down in Hyderabad. Sushma completed her engineering degree from Narayanamma College and had worked in ICICI Bank in the city for a year before marriage. Sushma’s younger brother, also an engineering graduate, was to leave for the U.S. to pursue his master’s degree and meet her in a couple of days.
