A. O. Smith setting up facility in Bangalore

CHENNAI: A. O. Smith Corporation, a global leader in the manufacture of residential and commercial water heaters with its base in North America, has made its presence in India by establishing its Indian venture ‘A. O. Smith India Water Heating Private Limited’. The company was in the process of setting up a plant in Bangalore, which was likely to be operational by 2010, according to Tamal Chaudhuri, National Sales and Marketing Manager. At present the products are sold in India by importing them from the company’s unit in China.
