Saranya takes title
CHENNAI: J. Saranya of Chennai scored a marathon penultimate round point to win the VIT National Under-13 Chess Championship with a round to spare in Vellore on Friday. Saranya also booked a berth in the World under-14 girls’ championship at Turkey next year.
In the boys’ section, FIDE Master G.V. Sai Krishna of Vijayawada has a one-point lead.
