Contraband drug worth Rs. 12 cr. seized

VADODARA: The Narcotics Control Bureau seized contraband methanephetamine and arrested three foreign nationals here on Friday.

The Bureau’s Ahmedabad zone director, Ayush Tiwari, said the seized material was valued at over Rs. 12 crore in the international market.

It was the first time that methanephetamine was seized in the country.

Mr. Tiwari said that a Canadian national and his two Malaysian associates were picked up from a car on the Vadodara-Mumbai NH near here.
