“Musharraf busy playing golf”

NEW DELHI: Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari on Saturday deftly sidestepped questions of reconciliation with his predecessor, Pervez Musharraf, who was leading a “comfortable life playing golf.”

“I can assure you this much that he is having a comfortable time, busy playing last I heard — golf,” he said during an interaction via satellite at the HT summit here.

“Most definitely, I am wanting to see him succeed,” Mr. Zardari quipped when asked whether he would wish General Musharraf “a long and happy life playing golf.” — PTI
