Nationalise private banks: forum

KOCHI: The Bank Employees’ Federation of India – Kerala has called for the nationalisation of private banks and for stricter Reserve Bank of India (RBI) control over banking operations in the country. A statement from the Federation here on Sunday said that public sector banks played a big role in cushioning the impact of global financial meltdown on India. — Staff Reporter
