BC status sought

The All-India Sistakaranam Association submitted a memorandum to Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy on Sunday seeking the inclusion of Sistakaranams in the Backward Classes. Association national president K.L. Bhushana Rao, State president and secretary Ganapathi Patnaik and U. Nagabhushanam led a rally of 500 persons to the airport. A statement from the association claimed the Chief Minister responded positively to the request.
