Shifting of compost yard demanded

Bhimavaram: The municipal compost yard at Gunupudi should be immediately shifted from this area to the outskirts of the town, people of 12th ward demanded. In a memorandum submitted to municipal chairperson Thota Sita Mahalakshmi and commissioner P. Venkateswara Rao, the residents of Banthrothu Vari Street said the location of yard in the areas was causing several health problems to them. They said after shifting the yard the area should be developed into a party. They said though their problem was brought to the notice of municipal authorities no action had been taken till now.
They also expressed concern over poor sanitation conditions prevailed in the area. They urged the municipal authorities to improve the drainage system and the road, which is in a bad condition in this area.
