DCC gears up for YSR’s visit

Chief Minister to visit district on Nov. 28 to lay foundation for Chevella–Pranahita


SANGAREDDY: Major Industries Minister J. Geeta Reddy on Monday called upon the party leaders and workers to make Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy’s visit on November 28 to the district a grand success. Addressing the first meeting of the District Congress Committee (DCC) held at Gajwel to review the arrangements to the proposed public meeting, the Minister suggested that there should be a large presence of people at the foundation stone ceremony of Chevella–Pranahita project.

Party posts

Assuring that those working hard would be given priority in party posts, DCC president T. Nandeeswar Goud directed the workers and leaders to mobilise people in large numbers. Highlighting the development of the Gajwel area, he said that employment was created to a large number of people with the industrialiasation.MLA Sunita Lakshma Reddy, DCCB Chairman P. Narasa Reddy, Mahila Congress president T Nirmala Jayaprakash Reddy and others participated in the meeting. Earlier in the day, Collector Peeyush Kumar held a meeting with officials at the Collectorate to review the arrangements to the Chief Minister’s visit. All the departments were given certain responsibilities and Zilla Parishad CEO Y Upender Reddy was entrusted with job of coordination of all the departments.
