Kozhikode
Siddique alleges that it was Maudany who first instigated Muslim youth to extremism in the State. Kozhikode: Youth Congress State president T. Siddique has asked the Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) to renounce its “relationship” with the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) if it has any commitment to society or loyalty to the country. At a press meeting here on Tuesday, Mr. Siddique alleged that it was Abdul Nazir Maudany, PDP leader, who first instigated Muslim youth to extremism so blatantly in the State. He said the CPI(M) should not prioritise a few votes above the security of the State. Abdul Jabbar, arrested on Saturday in Hyderabad in connection with the Kashmir encounter case, was a PDP candidate from Purathur in Malappuram district in the panchayat elections. Criticising the alleged terror activities of the Sangh Parivar, Mr. Siddique said, “Sangh extremism has reached the Malegaon explosions starting from the assassination of [Mahatma] Gandhi.” Mr. Siddique said the Youth Congress would organise a march to the Secretariat on December 4 in protest against the ‘misrule’ of the LDF government.
