Funds disbursed

NAMAKKAL: Collector U. Sagayam disbursed Rs. 9.45 lakh under Vazhanthu Kattuvom project to 27 village panchayat administration in Mallasamudram block recently. Participating in an awareness programme organised for panchayat presidents about the implementation of the project, the Collector asked the participants to ensure the effective utilisation of funds provided through the project for improving the quality of life of the people in the village.

The project was aimed at creating livelihood opportunities for the poor in the rural areas. District Project Manager D. Dharani gave a presentation on the features of the project. The district administration had already covered the panchayats in Erumapatti, Vennanduur, Senthamangalam and Namakiripet blocks.
