This Day That Age
Mr. Valerian Zorin, Deputy Soviet Foreign Minister, re-affirmed in New York on November 26 that his delegation would not participate in the work of the proposed new United Nations Outer Space Committee, adding that he saw no way out of the deadlock. The Soviet delegate told a Press Conference: “I am rather pessimistic about the outlook in this field. I do not see any prospects for international co-operation within the United Nations so long as the position of the United States remains as it was expressed in the Political Committee’s debate on outer space. I do not see any prospects for an improvement in the situation.”
