Professors, research scholars and others interested in zoological studies have joined to form the Madras Zoological Society at a meeting held last week in Madras. The organisation, sponsored by Dr. T. Satyamurti, acting Superintendent of the Government Museum, Egmore, will have its head-quarters in the city. Besides making collections of rare zoological specimens, the society will conduct exhibitions, organise excursions to places of zoological interest in the country and arrange for lectures by Indian and foreign scholars.
