‘Congress divided on Telangana’

Staff Reporter

ADILABAD: Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) president K. Chandrashekhara Rao on Tuesday pointed out the differences of opinion within the Congress ranks. He said while APCC president D. Srinivas was for a separate Telangana, Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy was opposed to it.

Addressing public meetings at Nennel, Vemanpalli and Chennur mandals as part of his bus yatra, the TRS chief wanted the Congress to declare its stand on Telangana issue soon. People would not tolerate dithering on the subject any more, he cautioned the Chief Minister.

Scribe injured

Meanwhile, P. Srinivas, journalist, was injured in the leg when the vehicle in which he was travelling to cover Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao’s yatra collided with another vehicle in the motorcade.
