Municipal Administration Principal Secretary visits slum areas in Sangareddy
Taking stock: Subramanyam, Principal Secretary, Municipal Administration, interacting with SHG groups in Sangareddy on Tuesday. — SANGAREDDY: Municipal Administration Principal Secretary Pushpa Subrahmanyam on Tuesday called upon Municipal Commissioners in the district to improve sanitation and water supply in their jurisdiction. Addressing a meeting of Municipal Commissioners at Zilla Parishad meeting hall here, she said that more stress should be laid on the immediate requirements of the people. While complementing the Sadasivapet municipality for distributing pension to widows, old-aged persons and physically challenged through banks, the Principal Secretary directed all the municipalities to follow the same. Development worksReferring to the ongoing development works in the municipalities, she suggested them to speed them up and complete in time. Earlier in the day, she visited the slum areas in Sangareddy town and ongoing construction of water tank at Rajampet. Municipal Commissioners of Sangareddy, Sadasivapet, Siddipet, Zaheerabad, Medak, Patancheru and Ramachandrapuram participated in the meeting. Collector Peeyush Kumar also attended the meeting for some time.
