Patent number

Kakinada: Venkateswara Ayurveda Nilayam Limited, Chintaluru (East Godavari district) secured a patent (number 224688) for its ‘Anti-stress herbal formulation and process’ for a term of 20 years with effect from October 13, 2005. The patent was granted on October 21, 2008 by The Patent Office of the Government of India, according to a press release by Managing Director Dwibhashyam Sreerama Murthy. He stated that the patented formulation resulted in the production of anti-stress tablets named ‘Vedaswa (VAN)’ and as per patent, only VAN possesses the right to make and sell them in India, according to provisions of Patents Act, 1970. - Staff Reporter
