Kakinada: Amalapuram MP G.V. Harsha Kumar called upon the Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) to fulfil its commitments to the people of Gadimoga and other villages where its natural gas terminal is in advanced stage of completion. He said the RIL should review what it has done as part of its corporate social responsibility activities every month to dispel misgivings among the people. The RIL should keep its promise to provide jobs to the eligible villagers and civic amenities in Gadimoga village where its operations are based. Addressing a review meeting with the district officials and RIL representatives here on Tuesday, Mr. Kumar said the company has spent some money on laying of internal roads, construction of school buildings and for drinking water supply. Sanctioning of funds for building a primary health centre and a marriage hall, is awaited. The RIL should give preference to local people in the execution of works and training has to be given to those who don’t possess the requisite skills, the MP said.
