KARIMNAGAR: The ‘fast unto death’ programme launched by Telugu Yuvatha State organising secretary T. Sharath Rao and his followers as a protest against his suspension by the party district unit has entered third day in front of the party office in Karimnagar town on Wednesday. Sharath Rao said that the district president L. Ramana had no right to suspend the State party leader. He could only refer the matter to the party disciplinary committee. He demanded that the party high command initiate action against the district party president for insulting him and instructing the party rank and file to keep him out of the general body meeting in the town. He said that he had only raised a voice of revolt against the party district president when he directed the party leaders to call the police for the meeting to take action against Sharat Rao . PleaHe urged the party high command to revoke his suspension and two others. He also requested that action be taken against the district president to shield the party from such leaders, who encourage groupism in the district. He also found fault with the party district unit for suspending them in spite of assurance to constitute Bejjanki mandal committee on November 24.
